Summer Program Admission

BYU Students

Regular BYU students may register for CLS Summer Term classes through normal registration procedures. Visit our Summer Course Listing page for a list of courses for this upcoming summer, or BYU’s Class Schedule for the entire university course listing.

Non–BYU Students

Non–BYU students may be admitted as a visiting student through the university’s Summer Visiting Student program. Courses completed as part of the program will earn university credits which may be transferred to other universities and institutions. To be competitive for admission as a visiting student, it is recommended that the following guidelines be met:

  • High School GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Composite ACT of 18 or higher
  • College/university GPA of 2.5 or higher

The following application materials are required:

  • Part 1: Student Information
  • Part 2: School Selection
  • Part 3: Student Commitment and Confidential Report
  • $30 non–refundable application fee
  • Official college/university transcript(s)

If few than 30 college or university credits have been completed, also submit:

  • High school transcript(s)
  • ACT/SAT scores

Note: Admission and enrollment in the Summer Visiting Student program does not in any way imply continued enrollment at BYU beyond summer term.
